Alex Walker, Associate
Alex works as a family law lawyer at Lenehan Musgrave. He received his law degree from the Schulich School of Law in 2022. While at law school Alex was involved in a number of projects with Pro Bono Student Canada including the Atlantic Refugee and Immigrant Service and the 7th Step Society of Nova Scotia, where he helped people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
After law school Alex articled with a law firm on Nova Scotia’s South Shore where he received experience in family law, civil litigation, wills and estates, and property law. After being called to the bar in 2023 Alex joined Lenehan Musgrave to pursue a career in family law because he saw how meaningful and important it is to clients to find practical solutions to their family law issues.
Alex focuses on communicating clearly and openly with his clients, to ensure they understand the family law process, their rights, and the practical steps to finding a solution. He appreciates that taking legal action can be intimidating and expensive, which is why he strives to provide frank and individualized advice to clients, so they are informed about their legal situation and all their options. Alex is focused on finding efficient solutions for his clients, such as out of court settlement. However, when settlement is not an option, Alex is eager to defend his client’s rights in the courtroom.
